Ghorepani-Poon Hill Trek

Ghorepani and Poon Hill trek starts and ends in Pokhara, a colourful foray into the Annapurna region. The trail winds through patchwork valleys, dense mossy forests and past icy waterfalls where you can stop to cool your face. Around every corner is a tantalizing glimpse of the high mountains, whole horizons of which will be revealed to you as you reach the high points of your trek. Trekking in the Annapurna foothills to the view point at Poon Hill offering you unobstructed mountain views.

An easy trek in the spectacular mountain scenery through charming villages inhabited by the Gurungs, Magars dense rhododendron forests full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys.

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu (1345meters). Our airport representative will be receiving you at Tribhuvan International airport in Kathmandu and will be displaying with DOLPA ADVENTURE TREKS AND TOURS signboard outside the airport terminal. You will be then transferred to your respective hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2 Pre-trip Meeting and Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley : Optional In the morning of after breakfast at around 8 am, we host a pre-trip meeting at your hotel in Kathmandu and introduce your trek leader/guide. Please seek this opportunity to ask questions about your tour in Nepal. After the meeting and a hearty breakfast, your sightseeing trip will start at around 9:45am. Sightseeing places will be : Pashupatinath, Boudhnath, Swoyambhunath stupa and Kathmandu durbar square. You will have a private vehicle and a professional tour guide at your disposal. The rest of your time in Kathmandu is free for further exploration and some last-minute shopping in Thamel area near by your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 3 Drive to Pokhara – 06 Hours. After breakfast, we will transfer to you in Pokhara with private vehicle. It will takes around 06 hours drive and take a rest in Pokhara. O/N in Pokhara.
Day 4 Drive to Nayapul (1,010m) - 1 AND ½ hr. Trek to Tikhedunga (1,570m) - 3 hrs We begin our trek at Nayapul after a 1 and ½ hour drive on a private vehicle from Pokhara. After a short 15-minute walk along the banks of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1,015m) a large village with many shops and teahouses. From there, the trail continues through the village and follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. The trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1,495m and after a short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1,570m. Today’s walk is relatively short and easy, a prelude to the trekking experience in the Annapurna region. Overnight at a Tikhedhunga.
Day 5 Tikhedhunga trek to Ghorepani (2,840m) - 5 hrs We move on towards the steep climb to Ulleri, a large Magar village at an altitude of 2,070m. The trail ascends more gently from this point, through fine forests of oak and rhododendrons towards Banthanti at 2,250m. Then we trek towards Nangethanti at 2,460m. After an hour walk we arrive, at Ghorepani (2,840m). Overnight at Tikhedhunga
Day 6 : Hike up to Poon Hill (3,210m); and onto Tadapani (2,610m) - 6 hrs Today, very early in the morning, we start an hour hiking to Poon Hill at an elevation of 3,210m, a brilliant mountain range spectacle; this vantage point provides an unobstructed view of the sunrise over the high Himalayas. There we spend about 1 hour, then returning to Ghorepani we take a hot breakfast at a hotel. Then we make a climb along ridges, and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2,960m). After that we descend to the Banthanti, then turning off to Tadapani. Overnight at Tadapani
Day 7 Tadapani trek to Ghandruk (1,940m) - 4 hrs From Tadapani the trail descends through forests to Ghandruk, a village of Gurung people, one of the ethnic groups of Nepal. They have their own dialect, culture, costume, and life style. Ghandruk is also home to many Gurkha soldiers. It is a famous destination for trekkers as it is known for its beautiful mountain views and also because it's within easy reach from Pokhara and Kathmandu. We have the afternoon to visit the Annapurna Conservation Office, museums and explore the village. Overnight at Ghandrunk
Day 8 Ghandrunk trek to Nayapul (1,010m) and drive to Pokhara . Today, we are going to end our trek at Nayapul followed by a short drive back to Pokhara.
Day 9 Free day in Pokhara. Today, You have your own free time in Pokhara. O/N in Pokhara.
Day 10 Drive to Kathmandu. After breakfast, we will transfer to you in Kathmandu by private vehicle. O/N in Kathmandu.
Day 11 Free day in Kathmandu. Today, Pax have their own free time in Kathmandu for their final shopping and packing. O/N in Kathmandu
Day 12 Departure to final destination. Morning time is free in Kathmandu and afternoon will transfer to airport for the final destination.
